What is the Maternity Neonatal Voices Partnership?

We are a group of parents, volunteers and professionals who work together to help shape and develop maternity services in Bradford District and Craven.

The Maternity Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) also hold regular informal sessions at Maternity Circles across the district and attend events to hear from individual parents and voluntary community sector partners. We work on a number of collaborative projects with both maternity teams and other partners, to improve people's experiences of care.

We meet around every 8-12 weeks, with our main meetings involving partner agencies including Directors of Maternity and Community Midwifery Teams from Airedale General Hospital and Bradford Royal Infirmary.

You can see what was discussed during our last meeting on the right of this page in the 'documents' section.

At the meetings we hear updates from local maternity services and organisations supporting women and families, and we encourage questions. We are also starting to think about what we want to work on next year - we are keen to hear your ideas!

Ask midwives your questions about infant health and vaccinations

Vaccinations are an important part of looking after yourself and your baby while you are pregnant, and beyond birth. We know families are given a lot of information during pregnancy and immediately after their baby is born. Experienced midwives in Bradford District have offered to address your questions around vaccinations, to make sure you get information from a trusted source to make an informed decision.

Immunisations help to protect pregnant women and their babies from infectious diseases. During pregnancy it is recommended you have the following vaccinations to protect the health of you and your baby.

  • Flu
  • COVID-19
  • Whooping cough (Pertussis)

Midwives also talk to pregnant women about baby’s first round of vaccinations after they are born, at eight weeks you’ll be invited to have your baby vaccinated with 6-in-1 vaccine, Rotavirus vaccine and MenB vaccine. More information about the vaccination schedule is available on the NHS website.

Please submit your questions here and a midwife will respond to you as soon as possible.

You can also watch videos of midwives answering frequently asked questions on Youtube.
