In 2023, Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership successfully secured £3.4 million funding from Keighley Towns Fund to develop a Community Health and Wellbeing Centre on the former college site on Lord Street.
The development of the Keighley Community Health and Wellbeing Centre is a priority to deliver modern, fit-for-purpose healthcare facilities for the community, and we remain committed to progressing it despite financial challenges.
We are currently reviewing our proposals for the Keighley community health and wellbeing hub due to the impact of inflation and interest rate increases that mean there is a revised and increased cost for the development. The review is ongoing, and we are working to find an affordable funding solution. As a result, it is likely that there will be changes to the previously proposed plans and timescales.

We are currently reviewing our proposals for the Keighley community health and wellbeing hub due to the impact of inflation and interest rate increases on the cost of the development. As we work through the financial model, there is some uncertainty around the development timeline. So we have paused community involvement activity for now, but you can still register your interest and we will keep in touch when the project progresses.
We want to bring together a Citizen Panel to help ensure a balanced patient and public perspective in evaluating potential designs and service configurations for the new Keighley Health and Wellbeing Centre when the project progresses.
Community engagement is key to the successful delivery of this scheme and a range of community engagement and involvement activities will be undertaken throughout the development of the scheme to ensure that the design of the building works in the best possible way for local communities.
